The symposium about “low smoke low halogen product applications in coal mine” is hold from June 25th to 28th, 2014 in Changzhou Marine Cable Company. It is host by China Coal Industry Safety Institute of Science and Technology of Flame Retardant Anti-Static Professional Committee and undertaken by Changzhou Marine Cable Co., Ltd.

There were 70 representatives in the meeting. They were from National Mining Product Safety Standard Center, Shanghai Institute of Testing Center of Coal Science and Industry Group, Jiangsu Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau of Machinery Industry Association, Yankuang Group, more than 20 mine cable manufactures and over 10 conveyor manufacturers.

In the meeting, the leaders of National Safety Standard Center, Shanghai Coal Research Institute and Jiangsu Province Bureau of Coal Supervisor made important speeches respectively for the topic of meeting. The chief engineer of Changzhou Marine Cable Co., Ltd, Gao Jun, made a keynote speech about “Cable for coal mine achieves low smoke zero halogen”. The conference is divided into two groups (cable and belt) and they discuss this topic respectively. The technical directors who attend in cable discussion group were from Shandong Pacific, Qingdao Hanlan, Shanghai Shenghua, Kunming Cable, Lexing Hongqi, Hengyang Hengfei, Nexans (China)(Tiger) and Jiangsu Shangshang, Zhongmei, Baosheng, Mingzhu, Hengtong, Zhongtian and so on. They represented domestic coal cable research and production levels. After technical directors discussed this topic deeply, they reached consensus that mine cable must develop technique of halogen-free flame retardant. They confirmed the testing standard of low smoke low halogen and low smoke zero halogen respectively. We all believe that this meeting’s success will promote the development of coal cable.
