Changzhou Marine Cable Co., Ltd. was formerly known as the Changzhou Marine Cable Factory, established in 1958. It is a national-level high-tech enterprise integrating research and development, manufacturing, and sales. In February 2010, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhongli Group.
Currently, the company’s products are trademarked under the “Hai Bao” brand, with an annual production capacity of RMB 1.5 billion. Its main product lines include marine cables rated at 35 kV and below, naval‑grade cables, offshore engineering cables, mining cables, rubber‑sheathed cables, new‑energy cables, and other specialized cable types. The company’s products are sold to major shipyards, offshore‑engineering firms, and other sectors across China, and are also exported overseas, earning the trust of customers both domestically and internationally. The company has become a key supplier to leading domestic enterprises such as China Shipbuilding, CIMC Raffles, CNOOC, COSCO Shipping, and China Merchants Heavy Industry, while maintaining close partnerships with renowned international companies including Brazil’s Petrobras, France’s TotalEnergies, CMA CGM, the Dutch SBM Group, South Korea’s Samsung, Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and QatarEnergy.

Product/System Certification Status
The company has obtained ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system, ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system, and ISO 45001 certification for its occupational health and safety management system. In accordance with international standards such as IEC, Norwegian standards (NEK), national military standards (GJB), coal industry standards (MT), Chinese national standards (GB), U.S. UL standards, and German VDE standards, the company manufactures a wide range of cables that are extensively used in various sectors, including ships, naval vessels, oil platforms, coal mines, and new‑energy industries. Marine cables have been approved by leading classification societies in the United States, France, China, Norway, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, and Russia. Mining cables and other specialized cables have respectively earned mining‑product safety certification, China’s Compulsory Product Certification (3C), a national industrial product license, German VDE certification, U.S. UL certification, and German TÜV Rheinland certification.

 

R&D Patent Status
The company has established and nurtured a high-caliber R&D team and operates the “Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Special Marine Cables,” the “Jiangsu Provincial Enterprise Technology Center,” the “Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Research Center for Cables Used in Special Vessels and Offshore Engineering,” and a CNAS‑accredited laboratory. To date, it has been granted a total of 129 patents, including 38 invention patents and 4 defense‑related patents; it also holds four domestically registered trademarks and two internationally registered trademarks under the Madrid System. The company has received prestigious awards such as the Provincial Intellectual Property Strategy Recommendation Project and the Invention Entrepreneurship Award. Furthermore, it has spearheaded or participated in the drafting of 45 standards, comprising 13 national standards, 24 national military standards, 2 industry standards, and 6 group standards.
