Scope of Application

It has partnered with institutions such as the 23rd Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, the Shanghai Cable Research Institute, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Dalian University of Technology, Sichuan University, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Nanjing Tech University, Soochow University, and Suzhou Institute of Technology, among others, engaging in industry–university–research cooperation. These partnerships have yielded significant achievements in areas including technology development, product prototyping, technological upgrading, and process innovation. In 2016, the company launched an EMBA executive education program under the “Zhongdi Initiative” for elite mid‑level managers at the School of Overseas Education of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2019, Zhongli Group, the Management Committee of the Changshu National University Science Park, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics jointly initiated a doctoral training program. In 2020, the company was designated as a pilot unit for independent professional title evaluation, with a total of 59 employees attaining intermediate engineer qualifications and 28 earning junior engineer credentials. In 2021, it entered into a technical collaboration with Dalian University of Technology in the field of high‑performance cable materials. In 2023, it began co‑supervising postdoctoral researchers with Dalian University of Technology, and in 2025, it signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Harbin University of Science and Technology.
Postdoctoral Research Station
The Zhongli Group Postdoctoral Program was launched in March 2009, with the establishment of a postdoctoral research workstation approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Personnel Department. In 2013, it was accredited as a national-level postdoctoral research workstation. Jiangsu Zhongli Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has established a national-level postdoctoral research workstation (hereinafter referred to as “the Workstation”), which is under the unified management of the Company’s Technology and ESG Management Department.
The workstation conducts forward-looking research on core projects—including new materials, new products, and new technologies—for cable applications—aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Its mission is to track industry‑wide technological trends, cultivate a cutting‑edge R&D team and leading talent, strengthen the company’s overall scientific research capabilities, accelerate product development, elevate product quality and added value, enhance core competitiveness, and advance the industry’s collective R&D standards. The company is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art material preparation, testing, and analytical instruments, such as a Haake torque rheometer and a cone calorimeter. Meanwhile, the Zhongli Industrial Park integrates cable compound production with cable manufacturing, providing end‑to‑end pilot‑scale research capabilities—from small‑scale trials through mid‑scale validation to large‑scale production—thus facilitating the rapid commercialization of postdoctoral research outcomes. Since its establishment, the workstation has collaborated with numerous well‑known domestic university postdoctoral stations, including those at Sichuan University, Nanjing Tech University, Dalian University of Technology, and Harbin University of Science and Technology. It has undertaken research on topics such as “Development of Low‑Smoke, Halogen‑Free, Flame‑Retardant, Naturally Crosslinked Polyethylene Cable Compounds,” “Study of Small‑Diameter, High‑Flame‑Retardant, Low‑Smoke, Halogen‑Free Polyolefin Materials,” “Research on Ceramic‑Based Polymer Composites,” “High‑Performance, High‑Temperature‑Resistant Polymer Composites and Their Application in Heating Cables,” and “Preparation and Performance Evaluation of Biomass‑Derived Polylactic Acid Reinforced and Toughened Composite Systems,” successfully overcoming multiple technical challenges. After years of operation, the workstation’s internal policies have been steadily refined.
